There’s something magnetic about Iceland — a land where fire meets ice, where the wind seems to have a voice, and where every turn in the road reveals a new kind of beauty. On our recent trip, we based ourselves in Reykjavík, the country’s colorful and creative capital, and spent our days chasing light, waterfalls, and wide-open horizons.
Reykjavík: Our Cozy Base in the North Atlantic
We stayed in a lovely Airbnb in Reykjavík, a perfect home base for exploring both the city and the Icelandic countryside. We visited at the end of September and into early October, a time when the days stretch to about 12 hours of soft daylight — long enough for adventure, yet short enough to make every sunrise and sunset feel special.
Our days began early, often around 5 a.m., and ended well past 9 p.m. after hours of exploring. Iceland has a way of keeping you outdoors — even when the weather throws rain, wind, and mist your way. There’s always something spectacular waiting just beyond the next bend in the road.
A perfect location to stay
“Welcome to my newly renovated and modern studio located in Hlíðar in the central of Reykjavík. The studio is in walking distance to most services. It is 15 min. walk to downtown Reykjavík and 5 min. walk to the supermarket, bakery and pharmacy.
If you want to be in a calm area but still central, this is the place!
It is suitable for 2 individuals, couples or friends travelling together.
Free parking and bus stops are at the street. Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally located place.” (Hadda, owner)

The Golden Circle, South Coast, and Snæfellsnes Peninsula
No trip to Iceland is complete without a few iconic road trips. We set out first on the Golden Circle, where geysers erupt, waterfalls thunder, and history feels close enough to touch. Then came the South Coast, a photographer’s dream of black sand beaches, glacier views, and the breathtaking Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls.
Perhaps our favorite was the Snæfellsnes Peninsula — sometimes called “Iceland in Miniature.” It’s wild and windswept, full of volcanic cliffs, lava fields, and tiny fishing villages where time seems to slow down. Every corner of Iceland feels cinematic, but Snæfellsnes has a special kind of magic.
Between Adventures: Life in Reykjavík
When we weren’t out exploring, we enjoyed Reykjavík’s relaxed charm. We wandered through museums, browsed local shops filled with handmade wool and art, and tasted the city’s lively food scene — from cozy cafés to buzzing bars. Reykjavík by night has a warmth that contrasts beautifully with Iceland’s rugged landscapes.
Reflections on Iceland’s Beauty
Iceland isn’t just a destination — it’s an experience. It’s wild, raw, and unforgettable. The weather changes in minutes, the light dances across the sky, and the landscapes make you feel small in the best possible way. If there’s one tip I’d share, it’s this: don’t rush. Give yourself time to breathe, to stop by the roadside, to watch the clouds roll over a mountain. Even if it rains (and it will), Iceland rewards every moment of patience with something extraordinary.
No one can see all of Iceland in one visit. There’s always another waterfall, another fjord, another lava field waiting to be discovered. And that’s the beauty of it — Iceland calls you back.
So plan ahead, pack warm layers, and let Iceland surprise you. You won’t forget it.

Finally found a site that doesn’t lag during big wins. The payouts are fair and the support team is quite helpful. Check out brlwinbr if you want a stable experience.
Honestly the best gaming site I have found in the Philippines so far. Great bonuses and the customer support is actually helpful. Give phcrownph a go, you won’t regret it.
